Chippy chips? Sitting-down chippy chips? On a Sunday? Why, it's the stuff of a madman's dream and... pssst.... also my reality.
While you can fill your cheeks with pizza, kebabs and fried chicken, this remains a traditional fish and chip shop but with enough twists to, if not quite batter the opposition, at least stick a little wooden fork in their hopes and dreams.
Firstly it serves breakfast between 8am and 2pm, ranging from hot sandwiches to increasingly rock n roll takes on the traditional Full English. Seating, as you may imagine, is half the appeal, but it only remains an option until 6pm when Coppice becomes a takeaway-only establishment. Console yourself with the thought that not only can you be sitting down again from 8am the next day, Sunday opening is an additionally generous 10am to 4.30pm affair. To top it all off, telephone orders are also taken. "Hello, Coppice? Please can I talk to you now; I can't be bothered face-to-face in the shop."
But it doesn't end there. Prices are exceptionally reasonable, especially breakfast; with the two-egg, three-sossie Full English"Big Man's Breakfast" setting you back just £4, including two rounds of toast and a cuppa. Chips come free with burgers every afternoon and a £9 16" pizza comes with a cheesy sibling for just another three quid (delivery only).
The specials menu may also make you look twice. Saveloy and chips, for example, costs £2, although there is a tiny surcharge of 20p for eating in, tie optional. Best of all, if you do combine your mouth with your actual sit-down lap, you're in charge of your own salt and vinegar-shaking. Your destiny is in your own hands. That's living the dream, surely. And with that, by God, he was gone.

This Chippy is run by the most arrogant and rude people.
One girl believed to be called hannah has terrible acne and was seen to be picking her spots behind the counter before handling pizza toppings and sausages without washing her hands.
She served me and seemed to have the attitude that she was better than the customers who pays her wage. It's a 2 bit job
A short fat girl with glasses was brushing her hair and doing her make up over the fryers in a mirror leaned up against the tea urn while her kids were running riot in the part they class as a restaurant customers were made to wait till she decided her hair was ok. She needed that make up because her attitude was also ugly.
The food I wouldn't even feed to a dog. The chips had a strange smell and texture like they were re heated.
The salad for the kebab was also claimed to be fresh. My lettuce was browning around the edges and tomoato was soggy. They only give you one sauce on the kebab and then try to charge you 40p for other sauces.
The pies are said to be pukka but taste more like asda special price.
Sausages I saw them already cooked in a container and just thrown in a microwave to be re heated. Saveloys were hard as concrete.
As for the fish and chips. I ordered the large fish and chips with peas. The fish was the size of goldfish at best the chips again were a funny texture and funny taste not worth the 5 pound odd they ask for them, the mushy peas are just green water with a few small lumps in there I guess these lumps were the peas.
That in short was my order which ended up In the bin. And that was my experience of this chippy. Oìne I wouldn't even wish on my worse enemy the attitude of the staff is terrible
The soft drinks all seem to be imports as they have Arabic type writing on the cans and bottles.
Don't eat here if you value your health. Staff aprons were filthy and never seen a washing machine In their life. The floor was sticky and need a good sweep and mop

Chips were warm and greasy and couldn't finish them. The staff were sour face it don't hurt to smile that's the way people wan to return. Anyway I won't return!
Think they need some training on customer service.
